For Khaled Al Thekair, technology is a mission to transform Kuwait’s business and aviation landscapes. Currently the Director of Information Technology at Kuwait Airways, his career exemplifies strategic vision and technological leadership. A Computer Engineering graduate from Florida Institute of Technology, Khaled began his journey at Kuwait Finance House (KFH) as a senior network engineer, advancing to assistant manager to oversee critical IT projects. He later joined Advanced Systems Group Kuwait as a data centre consultant and rose to general manager, propelling the company to regional prominence. In 2014, at Warba Bank, Khaled led the IT PMO, implemented PRINCE2 methodologies, and drove digital transformation initiatives. Transitioning to aviation in 2018, he modernised Kuwait Airways’ IT infrastructure as Director of Strategic Planning & Projects, before becoming IT Director in 2021. Today, Khaled continues to integrate cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency and passenger experience, solidifying his role as a key innovator reshaping Kuwait’s technological future.
