I'll be honest, I was pretty skeptical going in because I'd had a bad experience at a random workshop a couple years back where they replaced my battery and within six months it was already struggling in the heat. This time my brother in law suggested I stop just picking whoever was closest and actually look for somewhere that knew what they were doing. Did a bit of digging and came across a professional car battery service in Abu Dhabi that had decent reviews and seemed to actually specialize in this rather than just offering it as a side thing alongside oil changes and tyre rotations. What surprised me was that they didn't just hand me a battery and call it done, they ran a proper diagnostic first and walked me through what the numbers meant, which no one had ever really bothered doing before. Found out my previous replacement hadn't even been the right spec for my car's electrical load which probably explains why it wore out so fast. Everything's been running fine since and the car starts instantly even after sitting in the sun all afternoon which used to be a bit of a coin toss. Wondering if anyone else has noticed a real difference between going to a specialist versus just a general garage for something like this, curious whether my old experience was just bad luck or pretty common.
